Snow-ology

Our class used the glyph below to create snowmen that matched our snow personalities!  Next to each one of our snow-selves are two of our latest writing samples.  How to Build a Snowman creatively describes the steps that each of us go through when building our snow buddies.  Students used a list of words like first, next, then and finally to sequence the events of their how-to writing.  Snowmen at Night  was a speculative narrative piece that imagined where the snowmen on our lawns venture off o after we fall asleep.  This was an impressive example of the ideas trait and the students rose to the occasion sending their snowmen to the park, the mall, and even the soccer field.  Great writing everyone!
