Here is the link to a game we tried on Monday to enhance our similes lesson. It is called Fling the Teacher. Students have been spotted using some of these similes in their writing already. We continued our simile exploration this morning by reading Twas the Night Before Christmas. There was one page that had 6 similes AND a metaphor! Now that we know what to look for, we can't believe how often authors uses similes and metaphors to be more descriptive writers.
