We have begun learning about arrays as a foundation for multiplication. Today the students created arrays of sunshine to help visualize the concept. Brady and Shannon show off an example here. There is a practice game here to improve your multiplication speed. This year we only need to work with arrays up to 5 X 5, but we all know this class loves to go above and beyond!
