About Me

I was born in Lower Bank, New Jersey but now I live a short drive away in Absecon.  After graduating from Absegami High School, I attended Rutgers University and graduated from William Paterson University with a History degree and my K-8 Teaching Certification.  In my final year of college, I gained classroom experience through student teaching placements in Clifton and Lincoln Park, NJ.  In May 2012, I earned my Masters Degree in Educational Technology through New Jersey City University.
It is extremely rewarding to me to live and work in the same town and become a fixture there as an educator. I am beginning my 14th year as an educator at Marsh Elementary.  I have also been able to loop to 3rd grade with my students and I feel the experience was an undertaking that every teacher should pursue at least once.
Outside of school, I nurture my love of learning by comparing school day successes with my wife Stephanie, who is the Media Specialist at Davenport Elementary School in Egg Harbor Township.  We have two daughters and a son, with a 4th baby on the way.  Our Bernese Mountain Dog is named Miles and our cat is named Cosette.
I am very excited to welcome this new class of second graders for the 2016-17 school year!
