Social Studies unit of Diversity

We started a new unit on diversity this week.  We thought that Mem Fox's book Whoever You Are was perfect to show how we are all the same on the inside.  I used this Prezi to stimulate discussion about elementary schools all over the world.  The children quickly pointed out similarties and differences between the schools in the classrooms shown.  We also agreed that the purpose of school and the students' job when they are there was the same, whoever they are, wherever they are.
