The Cavileers use a Social Studies period each week to explore our Weekly Reade
r magazine. Weekly Reader now offers free access to subscribers of their digital editions. The class has become accustomed to seeing the print right in front of them also being projected onto our classroom whiteboard. Each digital edition comes with scattered extras that can be clicked on to unleash additional content. A cover article this week on Ruby Bridges had links to interviews, video, and vocabulary audio files. The teacher's edition PDF file allows for class assessment without having to copy pages of worksheets. Our Mobi Interactive lets the class answer comprehension questions from each issue with our classroom tablet.
