Our student teacher, Mr. Steelman, has been creating some wonderful lessons for Science this past month. Now he is immersing our class in a Math data unit, starting with tally marks and pictographs. Today's lesson instructed the students how to take a survey with tally marks and create an entire pictograph from scratch. Most importantly, the students were analyzing the data shown in each pictograph to make comparisons and solve problems. Mr. Steelman's lessons have led to some amazing discoveries by the students.
