The students did a great job responding to this prompt on their blogs. The ideas were terrific! Many of the students still wrote in proper paragraph format even though we tackled this assignment without a pre-writing or organizing page. You can see more of their writing on our Writer's Workshop Blog. Just look for your child's name on the right hand menu and you will see all four writing assignments completed in the computer lab this week. My goal is to continue posting two writing assignments per week on the blog, with the class going to Mrs. Akeret's computer lab once a week to do one of the assignments together on their blogs.
I continue to welcome family members and visitors to our blog to leave comments for my emerging writers that encourage them to improve their craft. All comments are moderated so it may take a day for them to appear. Thank you to those of you who have already found creative ways to respond to my writers and motivate them to reach for the sky with their writing.
**Note - If any writing assignments are missing and the students were in school that day, their work has been saved as a draft and is near completion. They are welcome to sign in and publish this work from home or extra time will be given during Mariner period for the posts to be completed.
