You can find our new writing blog here and on the right hand menu. The students have already begun publishing their writing on their own blog pages which are connected to the main page. Each student will continue to expand their online portfolio of writing this Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday as we take our Writer's Workshop classes to Mrs. Akeret's computer lab.
After the students become comfortable with publishing their own work, I will encourage them and their family members to leave comments (which I am moderating) on their classmates' blog pages. They should leave compliments or encouraging comments that motivate us to take our writing even further.
I will be sending an instructions page home today so that students with computers at home can access the blogs and add comments at night as well. Plenty of time will still be given in school to access our writing blogs assuring fair access to the assignments. Students will need to hang onto their unique blog address, because I have secured the students blogs so that they will not show up on search engines.
